Women Together

Throughout the collection of the League of Women Voters Baltimore City are numerous documents that provide context to their initiatives and examples of how their actions directly correlate to the world around them, be it through collaboration or independently. Women Together is the outcome of the women's groups and various businesses of the Baltimore area coming together to create the first Women's Fair in 1973. The significance in creating a safe space for education and communication has gone unmatched due to the commitment of such collaboration by the League of Women Voters and other organizations. By their own articles of incorporation, the organization, Women Together, was created to establish a women's resource center where there was none. Addressing everyday concerns but simultaneously engaging with both public and political issues specifically for the benefit of the female population. "To unify and lend strength to one another where we have mutual goals, still retaining the character and autonomy of the individual groups." [6]

The objects featured below showcase the programming, attendance, and attention the collaboration Women Together has been able to achieve.
